Help 12: Striping Fenders!

Painted front fenders of Triumphs come in two different schemes. The pinstripping are done in two different ways. The strip is either squared off at the front of the fender or the strip runs off the front of the fender. But how do you know which scheme to use?

The rule is when painting any Triumph fender, if the edge of the front fender is raised beaded at the tip, the factory center strip always stopped short of the edge and was squared off.

If the fender front tip is a raw edge (no raised bead), the pin striping is carried over the edge.

Safe Motoring,

Joe
