We took a trip through the Dragon, through Maryville, Pigion Forge, Gettlingburg, through the smoky National Park and back to Almond, North Carolina. A loop that travels around many mountains, lakes and rivers.

Stopped for dinner at Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction. Good time. Drank and feasted while watching a pig race, Chicken race, Horse race, Magician, and horse shoe challange.

Dollyland is in Pigeon Forge. The next stop on this adventure was Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg is a small crowded town that is about 12 blocks long and 2 blocks wide stuck in a small valley. Very little parking during prime season but we were there on a Tuesday after school started so parking was plentiful.

There are two Breweries in Gatlingburg. The same Breweries can be found in Pigeon Forge. Both Pigeon Forge and Gettlingburg have many, many, many Moon Shine and Wine stores. Found only one that did not have free samples. If I was to sum these two towns up in a few words they would be: Moonshine, tshirts, Wineries, Old time photos, and food.

Coming back we drove right through the center of the Smoky Mountain National Park. It's a steep climb up to the boarder of Tennesee and North Carolina (5,046 feet) then back down.
