Bike Week 2025

Bikeweek was awesome. Spent some serious fun with many friends. Found some new places to visit and checked out the all the usual stomping grounds. Did not camp this year. Stayed in Flagler Beach, nice town. Flagler is about 7 miles north of Destination Harley Davidson and Iron Horse. Rides to Flagler Beach can be accomplish up 95 north from Daytona or a scenic drive through Bulow Creek State Park, nice ride.

Day Trips included Breweries, Swap Meets, a private car collection, Iron Horse (Many times), ABATE meet and greet, Cabbage Patch, Destination Harley, Race Track, and Triumph Dealer.

First stop was a swap meet out at the Daytona Stadium on LPDA Blvd. It was open Thursday February 27 thru March 2. By far the best swap meet in Daytona for Triumph parts. I visited twice meeting up with friends on both occasions. Free admissions this year. Picked up some parts for the Triumph chopper and bobber I am building.

Met up with my VFW 8191 club brothers at the Iron Horse. The bikes were easily ushered in to the establishment because the crowd was not overwhelming (all week long). Did someone say free beer from 4pm to 5pm? The bands were rocking and beer was flowing.

The biggest surprise was when I visited the Ormond Brewing Company and was invited in to observe a private car collection! Ormond Brewing C. is located on Division Ave in Ormond Beach in a warehouse. Nice Brewery with a very good White Russian Stout called The Duke. The Manager and staff are friendly and accommodating. Closed Monday, but open the rest of the week. Next door I observed another large warehouse with the door wide open. Stopped and talked with two individuals standing outside. They allowed me to walk through the warehouse and the following was what I observed:

Most cars had original paint. All ran and were driven weekly. Awesome!

Checked out the Swap meet out at Daytona Flee market. Not traditionally known for British parts. Harley Parts galore. Pan Head, Knuckle Head, Block Head and more. They had a dare Devil Trick Bike going on during the swap meet.

Strolled into Destination Daytona Harley Davidson at around 10 am to beat the crowd. No bands but they had the Globe of Death. The Globe of Death is an exciting motorcycle stunt show where the Urias Family Daredevils ride their motorcycles inside the confines of a 16-foot diameter Globe of Death. Performing 3x daily in the Pavilion at Destination Daytona. They had at least 3 motorcycles and two girls in the 16-foot Glode. Bikes circling around and crossing, crazy!

Destination Daytona Harley Davidson property was crowded with vendors and Bike tents. Before noon the place crowded up and it was time to leave.

The Race Track is still a nice day visit. Not as many part tents as in the past, but still a bunch. Harley, Triumph, Ducati, Suzuki, Yamaha, and more had the usual displays of their bikes. Most would let you ride them. Triumph had their demo rides at the new Dealer Ship on Route 1.

The Broken Spoke continues to rock! Big stage, Many bars, and Big Name Bands. The Hairball Band is always a crowd pleaser. Puddle of Mudd, Bobby Friss, Danny Charles, and more events packed them it. A good year for the Spoke. Met an old Friend from a New Jersey Club I belong to at the Spoke, Good time.

Walden’s Tavern is always a stop in Daytona. Friends and I have been calling it the gas station Pub. Previous years they have had a Food Trailer in their parking lot but lately they have had food inside the Tavern. Had their Barbeque, good stuff. Located at 745 S. Beach Street it’s a good stop prior to going down Main street Daytona.

Stopped into the Triumph/BMW Dealer on Route 1. Took a ride on the Triumph Speed 400. Fun. Popped the front wheel up in several gears. Racing around with the six speed made for a tiring half hour. Awesome beginner bike for $5,125.
